Anaerobic to Aerobic Digester Controls Upgrade

Project details

Upgraded an anaerobic digester to an aerobic digester and developed new controls. The work involved control design using AutoCAD Electrical, PLC programming for a CompactLogix 5370 L3 Controller using custom Add-On Instructions and tag structures, and HMI development on FactoryTalk View ME for a PanelView Plus 7. Integrated a Square D Model 6 motor control center via EtherNet/IP with safe-off functionality, and incorporated three Gardner Denver Air Smart blower controllers into the control scheme before completing a two-week onsite startup and commissioning.

Lactose Crystallizers Control System

Project details

Developed PLC code for a new system of ten 10,000-gallon lactose crystallizer tanks using a ControlLogix 5000 L75 Controller. Provided seven weeks of onsite startup and commissioning, which also included integration work for clean-in-place (CIP), slurry, and cooling systems.

Designed a UL 508 control cabinet using AutoCAD Electrical and developed PLC code for a ControlLogix L55 Controller to upgrade pasteurizer controls, integrating components from decommissioned systems. Completed onsite startup, commissioning, and FDA verification, linking the setup to existing clean-in-place and bulk storage systems.
