About the firm

Taylor Engineers is a Bay Area mechanical engineering practice with more than 30 years of specialized experience in HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, control systems, and building commissioning. Founded in 1995 and based in Alameda, California, it delivers high-performing, energy-efficient designs for large commercial office buildings, data centers, laboratories, and performance venues. Taylor Engineers is nationally recognized for expertise in data centers, underfloor air distribution systems, optimized VAV systems, and central chilled water plants, and frequently serves as owner's representative for design/build mechanical, plumbing, and fire protection contractors. Each engineer brings hands-on contracting and commissioning experience to every project, and the practice contributes actively to ASHRAE committees, California Title 24 energy codes, and applied HVAC research.
