Projects

PFAS Mitigation, Mountain Home AFB, ID

Mountain Home AFB, ID · Defense · 2020 · Client: U.S. Air Force

Project details

Designed, procured, installed, and operated an ion-exchange resin treatment system treating PFAS-contaminated groundwater at 1,000 gpm from the MHAFB public water supply well. Combined PFOS/PFOA concentrations of approximately 300 ng/L were treated in three treatment trains, successfully processing approximately 20 million gallons from August 2018 to October 2020 with no breakthrough.

Performance-Based Remediation, MacDill AFB and Avon Park AFR, FL

MacDill AFB and Avon Park AFR, FL · Defense

Project details

Completed 95% of PBR activities at five sites at MacDill AFB and Avon Park AFR. Within 2.5 years of task order award, achieved site closure at three sites, met the soil removal action performance objective at a fourth site, and completed two rounds of enhanced reductive dichlorination (ERD) at a fifth site.

Phase I Remedial Investigation for PFAS, Luke Air Force Base and Gila Bend Auxiliary Field, AZ

Luke Air Force Base and Gila Bend Auxiliary Field, AZ · Defense · Client: U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Los Angeles District

Project details

Conducting an $8.3M Phase I RI for Luke AFB for the USACE Los Angeles District. Work includes soil sampling, installation of monitoring wells and lysimeters, on-base and off-base well sampling, conceptual site model development, and a comprehensive RI to define the nature and extent of PFAS contamination. The project includes five 650-foot deep wells and 38 300-foot deep wells at Luke AFB plus 17 350-foot deep wells at the two Gila Bend sites.
