Transforming Vision into Sustainable Realities
SuYash Consulting, LLC (SUYASH) is a civil, structural, and environmental engineering consultancy founded in 2015 and based in Columbia, Maryland. SUYASH specializes in water resources engineering, stormwater management, transportation design, structural inspections, and environmental permitting. Services span hydrologic and hydraulic studies, erosion and sediment control, green infrastructure design, stormwater BMP asset management, wetland delineations, and design-build delivery. It holds professional engineer licenses in Maryland, Virginia, DC, Delaware, Washington, and Kentucky, and serves state DOTs including MDSHA, MDTA, and VDOT, transit authorities, and local government clients across the Mid-Atlantic region.
Developing watershed management plans and supporting clients in developing strategies for treatment of unrelated impervious areas, retrofits of failed stormwater facilities, and meeting permit requirements. Cost-effective strategies improve water quality, reduce erosion, and control flooding economically.
Practicing a green infrastructure philosophy to deliver cost-effective, sustainable, and environmentally friendly projects. Expertise spans design projects for hydrologic and hydraulic studies, stormwater management, erosion and sediment control, drainage, culverts, stream restoration, and NPDES or Chesapeake Bay activities associated with highway and land development projects.
Detailed H/H modeling and analysis to support drainage design and floodplain assessments.
Designing modern green stormwater infrastructure and Low Impact Development (LID) solutions to meet strict regulations.
Providing erosion control and soil stabilization designs for construction and land development projects.
Restoring vital stream ecosystems and stabilizing riparian corridors to improve local water quality.
Designing functional conveyance networks and structures to manage runoff and prevent localized flooding.
Specializing in innovative contracting techniques that save time and money for design-build teams and project owners. Experience includes projects in Maryland ranging from small stormwater management design-build-operate-maintain projects to major highway contracts.
Providing skilled professional staffing and full-time on-site management to support clients during peak work periods or long-term program delivery.
Inspecting, evaluating, and rating bridges, culverts, retaining walls, lighting structures, traffic control device structures, and drainage structures. Staff are certified per Federal Highway Administration requirements and experienced in applying AASHTO manuals.
Conducting drainage and stormwater Best Management Practices (BMP) inventory, inspections, and investigations to assure proper functionality. Services include preparing assessment reports, plans for drainage remedial solutions, work orders for BMPs requiring maintenance, CCTV video pipe inspections, and high mass lighting inspections.
Managing inventories, asset condition tracking, and cost-benefit analysis for nutrient reduction.
Reviewing and certifying built stormwater systems against original design plans and local requirements.
Utilizing closed-circuit television to inspect and document internal conditions of underground drainage piping.
Ensuring projects remain compliant with environmental regulations and permit conditions during construction. Services include environmental construction inspections, Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPPs), daily erosion and sediment control inspections, noise monitoring, and coordination with regulatory agencies.
Providing ecological and permitting support. Services include wetland delineations, forest stand delineations, natural resource inventories, forest conservation plans, tree save plans, Chesapeake Bay Critical Area delineations, FEMA floodplain studies, NEPA documentation, and watershed studies.
Applying established field manuals to identify, delineate, and map regulated wetlands and forest structures.
Modeling hydrology and hydraulics to support floodplain determinations and mapping.
Preparing environmental assessments and compliance documents to satisfy state and federal requirements.
Conducting post-construction monitoring of restored or created wetland habitats to verify successful establishment.
