Capabilities

Water Resources

Service website

Careful management of water resources forms a central component of engineering operations, focusing on the protection, enhancement, storage, and distribution of assets. Multidisciplinary teams develop sound water management solutions that satisfy technical requirements and long-term stewardship goals.

  • Hydrologic and Hydraulic Modeling

Developing stream and basin models to predict flow patterns, assess scour depths, and verify that proposed structural improvements meet no-rise floodplain requirements.

  • River Restoration and Bank Stabilization

Designing channel stabilization and environmental restoration plans to mitigate erosion, manage flood impacts, and restore natural river patterns.

  • Reservoir and Dam Design

Siting, designing, and permitting storage structures, ranging from small agricultural stock ponds to large safety-of-dams facilities impounding significant volumes.

  • Water Quality and Flow Monitoring

Performing stream gauging, establishing stage-discharge relation curves, and collecting suspended sediment and groundwater quality samples to track environmental compliance.

  • Floodplain Management and Inundation Mapping

Conducting studies to delineate hazard zones, mapping potential inundation areas, and helping communities prepare for high-water events.

  • Watershed Planning and Studies

Analyzing basin-wide characteristics and developing collaborative, multi-year conservation strategies to balance diverse demands in water-sensitive regions.

Environmental Consulting

Service website

Providing technical solutions that balance regulatory compliance with economic viability and environmental protection. Teams monitor changing local and national rules to deliver favorable outcomes for both clients and local ecosystems.

  • Groundwater Sampling and Analysis

Executing field sampling programs and monitoring water tables to detect potential contamination and establish baseline hydrological conditions.

  • Environmental Permitting and Compliance

Compiling, submitting, and negotiating regulatory documents, such as Army Corps of Engineers Nationwide Permits, to keep project timelines on schedule.

  • Reclamation Planning and Monitoring

Developing comprehensive plans for soil sampling, site grading, native vegetation specification, and post-reclamation performance tracking.

Civil Engineering

Service website

Delivering infrastructure and site development services designed for longevity and feasibility. Collaborative teams manage projects across public and private sectors, offering functional designs from initial survey through final construction oversight.

  • Civil Site Design

Creating grading, utility, and access designs for agricultural, energy, and commercial facilities to optimize site use and safety.

  • Geotechnical Analysis and Materials Testing

Conducting soil, rock, and concrete testing alongside geological baseline investigations to verify foundation constructability and material performance.

  • Municipal Utility Design and Planning

Designing new and relocated municipal water, sewer, and stormwater networks, utilizing ground-penetrating radar and resistivity data to map existing networks.

  • Topographic and Engineering Surveying

Applying bathymetric, terrestrial, and LiDAR technologies alongside unmanned aerial vehicles to capture highly accurate site terrain models.

  • Project Management and Contract Administration

Leading projects through schedule coordination, quality control, regulatory liaison, and on-site construction observation.

Projects

Stream Channel Evolution Monitoring and Assessment

Lysite, WY · Oil & Gas · Client: Confidential Client

Project details

Quarterly channel stability monitoring and mitigation program on seven stream reaches of Badwater and Alkali Creeks near Lysite, Wyoming. The program assesses the impacts of produced water discharge, utilizing topographic surveys, streamflow measurements, and sediment load sampling to evaluate channel evolution and reach stability.

Middle Fork Popo Agie River Restoration and Utility Improvements

Lander, WY · Government · Client: City of Lander

Project details

Design of utility line relocation and river restoration for six reaches on the Middle Fork of the Popo Agie River following a flooding event. Work included terrestrial, bathymetric, and LiDAR surveys, a fluvial geomorphic assessment, a HEC-RAS hydraulic study to verify no-rise conditions, ground-penetrating radar for utility location, and permitting support.

Coalbed Methane Reservoir Design and Reclamation

Wyoming · Oil & Gas · Client: Multiple Clients

Project details

Siting, surveying, design, permitting, and construction oversight for approximately 7,000 reservoir locations supporting coalbed methane development. Also provided reclamation planning, soil sampling, and vegetation monitoring for approximately 50 reservoir sites on private, state, and federal lands.
