236th Street NE Corridor Improvements

Project details

SCJ developed a Design Report for roadway improvements along a 2.5-mile corridor leading to Angel of the Winds Casino, focusing on safety upgrades, environmental constraints, right-of-way, and cost estimates. The project included converting 35th Avenue NE into a half-street urban boulevard with curb, gutter, sidewalks, and pedestrian amenities. SCJ's coordination with Snohomish County accelerated the design, permitting, and contracting within three months. Extensive collaboration with utility companies enabled the undergrounding of utilities. An economical bid and early project completion allowed the Tribe to extend improvements by 600 feet along 236th Street NE for the Tribe's administration.
