Projects

Silver Creek Watershed Restoration

Chaney Creek, ID · Water Resources · Client: Silver Creek Watershed

Project details

This watershed restoration effort focused on habitat improvements on Chaney Creek, narrowing over-widened channel segments and removing excessive fine sediments to improve water quality, temperatures, and dissolved oxygen levels. The project created instream structures, complex pools, and wetlands to filter drainage from adjacent farm fields, lowering water temperatures feeding the Silver Creek Preserve.

Spring Creek Design-Build Restoration

Idaho · Water Resources

Project details

This design-build project restored a spring creek that had been mechanically widened in the 1940s for agricultural practices. RIVHAB designed and constructed the restoration to establish optimal rearing and spawning habitats for juvenile fish, reduce water temperatures, improve dissolved oxygen, remove legacy silts, and construct surrounding wetlands.

Rattle Creek Wilderness Wood Placement

Rattle Creek, ID · Water Resources

Project details

Prior to implementing large wood placement in a remote wilderness area, the team utilized LiDAR and imagery drones to capture pre-construction conditions and conduct collaborative research on wood mobility and spawning gravel recruitment to benefit native bull trout populations.
