Capabilities

NDT Inspection Services

Service website

Advanced non-destructive testing is delivered using ultrasonic, electromagnetic, radiographic, and visual methods to verify the mechanical integrity of pipelines, vessels, and structural components.

  • Ultrasonic Thickness Testing (UTT) Straight Beam

Non-destructive thickness measurement introduces sound energy to calculate echo return times and detect internal flaws or corrosion in piping and vessels.

  • Automated Ultrasonic - Shear Wave Testing (AUT-SW)

Automated testing utilizes a single angled ultrasonic beam to inspect hard-to-access areas such as full-penetration welds, boiler tubes, nozzles, pipelines, and pressure vessels without requiring system shutdowns.

  • Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing (PAUT)

Ultrasonic technology deploys multiple sound waves at varying angles to increase flaw detection probability, offering a safe, non-radioactive alternative that runs concurrently with welding operations.

  • Time of Flight Diffraction (TOFD)

A primary sizing technique for weld flaws that relies on the diffracted signals from the tips of discontinuities.

  • AUT Corrosion Mapping

Automated ultrasonic mapping is performed over scanned areas to generate high-resolution thickness profiles and identify material degradation.

  • Hydrogen Induced Cracking Inspection (HIC)

Targeted assessments are deployed to identify cracking and environmental damage caused by hydrogen exposure in process environments.

  • Electromagnetic Acoustic Transducer (EMAT)

Electromagnetic ultrasonic testing generates acoustic waves directly inside the test material without requiring liquid couplant.

  • Guided Wave Inspections (GUL)

Long-range guided ultrasonic technology screens extensive lengths of piping from a single location to locate internal or external metal loss.

  • MagnetoStrictive Sensor (MSS)

Guided wave technology utilizing magnetostrictive sensors inspects bare, insulated, or buried pipelines for corrosion and defects.

  • Digital and Real Time Radiography

Modern radiographic methods use digital and flash imaging to provide immediate, high-resolution inspection data without film processing costs.

Remote Visual and Robotic Inspection

Service website

Inspections utilize automated crawlers, aerial drones, and structured light systems to access and document the internal and external condition of confined or hazardous structures.

  • 3D Remote Visual Data Verification

Laser scanning and visual technologies capture detailed spatial data to verify structural dimensions and geometry against design specifications.

  • Remote Visual Piping and Vessel Inspection

Specialized cameras and optical devices penetrate industrial piping and pressure vessels to capture clear video and imagery of internal surfaces.

  • Remote Visual Crawlers

Mobile robotic crawlers traverse the interior of piping, ductwork, and structural conduits to perform visual and sensor-based assessments.

  • Tank Robots

Submersible or magnetic crawler systems conduct in-service inspections of storage tanks to assess floor and wall thickness without requiring dewatering.

  • Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) - Drone

Aerial platforms equipped with high-resolution and infrared sensors provide safe inspection of elevated assets, flare tips, and emissions profiles.

  • Laser and Structured Light-Based Inspection

Optical measurement tools project structured light patterns to map surface profiles and precisely quantify physical defects or wear.

  • Infrared Gas Detection (UAV, Robotic)

Robotic and aerial platforms carry thermal and optical gas imaging sensors to locate fugitive emissions and gas leaks in real time.

Pipeline Services

Service website

Pipeline operators receive turnkey support covering pipeline construction, system maintenance, pigging operations, and integrity verification programs.

  • Pipeline Construction and Maintenance

Field crews perform structural assembly, repair work, and asset integrity maintenance for transmission and distribution lines.

  • Pipeline Pigging (Unpiggable)

Specialized tooling and cleaning techniques are engineered to navigate and inspect pipelines previously classified as unpiggable.

  • ILI Prove Ups

In-line inspection findings are validated through targeted field examinations, physical measurements, and advanced ultrasonic testing.

  • Line Drying, Hydrotesting, and Gauging

Pre-commissioning and integrity testing are conducted using hydrostatic pressure testing, pipeline drying, and sizing gauging.

  • Pigging Cleaning

Mechanical cleaning runs are executed to clear debris, scale, and organic buildup from pipeline systems to optimize throughput.

  • Mechanical and XYZ Gauging Pigging

Electronic and manual gauging tools measure pipeline geometry, detect deformations, and map spatial coordinates of the line.

Project details

When a client received 8,742 pre-spooled piping circuits from a fabricator that did not meet licensor specifications, Paradigm Field Industrial Solutions designed, built, and deployed specialized inspection and robotic tooling to validate and field machine the pipe spools, keeping the plant construction project schedule ahead of the completion date.
