Capabilities

Design-Build Project Delivery

Service website

GCU delivers wastewater and water infrastructure projects under construction management at-risk (CMAR), progressive design-build (PDB), and fixed-price design-build (FPDB) delivery models. In-house engineering and construction teams execute projects through a three-phase Design-Build-Deliver process, reducing change orders and compressing project schedules.

Engineering Services

Service website

GCU maintains a licensed engineering practice in Florida, Georgia, and Tennessee with professional engineers licensed throughout the southeastern United States. Engineering services combine field expertise with technical design capability for municipal and industrial infrastructure.

  • Field Data Collection

Sonar, laser, and CCTV profiling technologies gather condition data for infrastructure design.

  • Infrastructure Evaluation

Investigation and evaluation of utility infrastructure, including mapping storm drains and evaluating the mechanical and electrical integrity of sewer lift stations.

Trenchless Rehabilitation and Repair

Service website

GCU provides a full spectrum of trenchless rehabilitation methods for sewer mains, laterals, manholes, and wet wells, restoring structural integrity with minimal surface disruption.

  • Lateral and Main Grouting

Acrylamide grouting seals infiltration at pipe joints and lateral connections from inside the pipe without excavation, providing decades of protection.

  • Manhole and Wet Well Lining and Restoration

Structural repair, leak sealing, and corrosion-resistant coatings applied trenchlessly to manholes and wet wells.

  • Pipe Bursting and Pressure Pipe Rehabilitation

Pipe bursting replaces existing pipes with HDPE or PVC without excavation, including upsizing. Pressure pipe rehabilitation uses bursting, cured-in-place, or flexible fabric reinforced pipe (FFRP) methods.

  • Shotcrete and Coatings

Sprayed concrete reinforces and rebuilds wet wells, large tanks, and manholes. Protective coatings guard against corrosion, chemicals, and abrasion.

  • Structural Liners for Mains and Laterals

Cure-in-place pipe (CIPP) and fold-and-form PVC lining installs a new seamless pipe within an existing deteriorated pipeline.

Inspection and Assessment Services

Service website

Condition assessment and diagnostic services for sewer collection systems.

  • CCTV and Cleaning

Pipeline cleaning and CCTV inspection with PACP-certified reporting and problem identification.

  • Manhole Inspections

Level 1 and Level 2 MACP manhole inspections evaluating structural integrity and identifying infiltration and inflow sources.

  • Smoke Testing

Identifies inflow and infiltration contributors including open cleanout caps, main line breaks, and faulty manhole covers.

  • Sewer System Evaluation Surveys (SSES)

Condition assessment of sewer systems to identify defects, infiltration, and inflow, and prioritize repairs.

  • Flow Monitoring

Installation and field support for flow monitoring equipment in coordination with manufacturers and representatives.
