Slope Failure Monitoring Programs

Service website

GES establishes instrumented monitoring programs for slope failure and surcharge fill, including inclinometer installation and seismograph vibration monitoring.

Geophysical Surveys

Service website

GES conducts seismic refraction evaluation and electrical resistivity surveys to characterize subsurface stratigraphy and groundwater conditions.

Drilling Services

Service website

GES operates three CME drilling rigs with OSHA-certified crews for auger borings, Standard Penetration Test sampling, thin-walled tube sampling, diamond core drilling, and piezometer installation. A barge-mounted CME-45C rig handles marine and navigation channel projects.

Earthwork and Materials Testing

Service website

GES operates a full-service laboratory certified by AASHTO and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Testing capabilities include grain size analysis, Atterberg Limits, Modified and Standard Proctor compaction, California Bearing Ratio, concrete core strength, rebar tensile strength, and chloride ion testing. Seven field technicians provide nuclear gauge earthwork and construction supervision.

Structural Material Evaluation

Service website

GES evaluates existing structural elements using concrete core sampling, Ferroscan rebar detection (Hilti PS200), half-cell corrosion potential surveys, and steel bar testing for grade and tensile strength.

Weld Inspection

Service website

GES performs inspection and integrity testing of welds.

Environmental Studies and Storm Water Management

Service website

GES conducts environmental studies and develops storm water pollution prevention plans in support of site development and permitting requirements.
