Projects

The Big River Elementary School Onsite Wastewater Treatment System

Needles, CA · Education · Client: Big River Elementary School

Project details

Designed a 7,000 gpd onsite wastewater treatment system configured for harsh desert conditions and a remote location. The design incorporated recirculating media filtration and a denitrification upflow filter configured in subterranean tanks to handle fluctuating nitrate loading and avoid extreme temperature swings.

Natural Resources Defense Council Santa Monica Office Water Reuse System

Santa Monica, California · Commercial · Client: Natural Resources Defense Council

Project details

Designed an advanced graywater and stormwater reuse system for a LEED-Platinum certified office building. The system collects, treats, filters, and disinfects water from sinks, showers, and the roof for reuse in toilet flushing and subsurface landscape irrigation, reducing total water use by over 50 percent.

Audubon Nature Center Wastewater Treatment and Reuse System

Los Angeles, California · Parks & Open Space · Client: Audubon Society

Project details

Designed an onsite wastewater treatment and reuse system for a LEED-Platinum certified nature center. The system utilizes advanced anaerobic/aerobic treatment, filtration, and advanced oxidation disinfection to treat wastewater for subsurface irrigation.
