The Nuclear Industry's Digital and I&C Experts
Engineered Solutions, Inc. (ESI) is a nuclear engineering practice based in Athens, Alabama, specializing in instrumentation and controls (I&C) and electrical design for commercial nuclear power plants. Established in 1987 by five engineers who met on a control room redesign at Duane Arnold Energy Center, ESI handles all aspects of electrical and I&C modifications from start to finish, including operations-oriented design improvements, design change package development, and implementation and testing during pre-outage and outage construction. ESI works under an audited ASME NQA-1 compliant quality program and was part of the construction and startup of the first new commercial reactor in 20 years at Watts Bar. With roughly forty employees at its Athens home office and smaller groups supporting core customers throughout the Southeast, ESI has supported projects across the country and in the United Kingdom.
