Projects

Shock & Vibration Analysis for Aerospace System

Aerospace · Client: Aerospace Company

Project details

Performed virtual testing of an aerospace system for use in space, evaluating harmonic vibration, random vibration, and shock per RTCA DO-160G standards. Modeled the system in SolidWorks and analyzed the model in ANSYS Workbench.

Livingston House Thermal Analysis

Central Arizona, AZ · Residential · Client: R.J. Bacon Design

Project details

Modeled the thermal effects of the Central Arizona desert climate on a new home design with a thermal envelope of nearly 60% glass. Performed a simulation incorporating conduction, convection, and radiation to understand interior temperature variations based on historical weather data.

Primordial Walkway System

Farmington, UT · Sports & Recreation · 2023 · Client: Lagoon Park

Project details

Designed, built, and installed retractable maintenance walkways used to service projection cameras for the interactive Primordial ride. The walkways lower for servicing and raise to a stowed position during ride operation to remain hidden from riders.

Cliffhanger Roller Coaster Controls and Braking Upgrade

Glenwood Springs, CO · Sports & Recreation · Client: Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park

Project details

Provided mechanical and control engineering to upgrade the Cliffhanger roller coaster. The upgrades included a new control system and eddy current braking to enhance safety and rider experience.
