Projects

James Webb Space Telescope (JWST) ISIM & NIRSpec Electronics

Space · Client: NASA Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC)

Project details

Supported the flagship space observatory by leading the systems engineering and conceptual design of the Integrated Science Instrument Module (ISIM) electronics, including the Instrument Focal Plane Electronics and Instrument Command and Data handling. Additionally, designed and developed the NIRSpec Focal Plane Electronics (FPE), a low-noise electronics box controlling and reading out the H2RG IR detectors.

WFIRST Wide Field Camera Electronics

Space · Client: NASA Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC)

Project details

Contributed to the design and development of the Wide Field Camera Electronics to help understand dark energy and cosmic acceleration.

SMAP Radiometer Digital Back-End (RDE)

Space · Client: NASA Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC)

Project details

Designed and developed the Soil Moisture Active Passive (SMAP) radiometer digital back-end processor subsystem (RDE). Implemented an FPGA-based digital signal processing system utilizing time, frequency, statistical, and polarization diversity to detect and flag radio frequency interference (RFI) during its mission lifetime.

Spitzer Space Telescope IRAC Electronics

Space · Client: NASA Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC)

Project details

Led the development of the Infrared Array Camera (IRAC) electronics, a four-channel imager utilizing dichroic beam splitters to enable simultaneous paired images in two adjacent fields of view.
