Projects

Skybus 30K Avionics and Propulsion Harnessing

Aerospace · Client: SAIC

Project details

Provided engineering support to characterize pre-defined flight control systems and hardware, designing, building, and integrating all harnessing for avionics data and power systems. Aerospace Innovations also developed a ballonet pressurization system and a microcontroller-based flight termination system.

STORRM (Sensor Test for Orion RPOD Risk Mitigation)

Space · 2011 · Client: NASA

Project details

Contributed to a joint NASA JSC and LaRC development test objective payload flying on STS-134. Aerospace Innovations was instrumental in the development of the avionics controlling and recording data for the Vision Navigation Sensor Lidar and a high-resolution docking camera.

ROCSAT Deployable and Magnetic Testing

Space · Client: Orbital Sciences Corporation

Project details

Supported deployables testing to verify impact forces and adjust damper rates over expected flight temperatures. The practice also assisted in running magnetics testing for ROCSAT-3 and fabricated a non-magnetic tilt fixture for spacecraft measurements at the Goddard Space Flight Center Spacecraft Magnetic Test Facility.

VCL/GLORY Attitude Determination and Control System

Space · Client: Orbital Sciences Corporation

Project details

Supported the Vegetation Canopy Lidar mission by developing the ADACS FlatSat test-bed to verify functions, interfaces, and communications prior to spacecraft integration. The practice also enhanced test software, performed jitter analysis, and designed ground support equipment.
