Projects

Railroad Embankment Failure Forensic Analysis

Water Resources · 2023

Project details

Collaborated with DTW and Associates on the forensic analysis of a failed railroad embankment that caused residential flooding. The work involved forensic calibration, 2D and 3D computational hydraulics, and hydraulic modeling of flood depths, energy, and momentum on structures.

Augmentation Line Drop Structure CFD Modeling

Water Resources · 2017

Project details

Modeled a drop structure designed to divert water into an augmentation line. Each boulder was simulated using Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) to capture the hydraulic jump, assess forces on each rock, and evaluate the hydraulic performance of the diversion structure.
